He attended Government Primary School Kg Pantai and Secondary School at SMK now SMPO Pengiran Omar Sipitang respectively-he designed SMPO original logo still used today.
He attended ITM for while before he went to Aberdeen, Scotland to do a Diploma in Communications, pursued his Bachelor degree in London.
He did his Master of Science (Strategic Planning) at Birmingham University. He worked a few years in Sabah before went to University of Hull to take up LLB degree. He did his Legal Practice Certificate at University of Malaya and Diploma in Legal Practice at Australian National University,Canberra.
He was a former senior manager and a senior legal officer with Sabah State's establishment. He is now a lecturer in law in communication at local university, sometimes invited as media consultant by private firms. He writes as guest columnist for Daily Express on Sunday.
He was Sabah students Union’s President in United Kingdom in 1980.
He is a cultural activist. He was the President of Sabah Kadayan’s Association for several years.
His trail books: a collection of his articles titled Writing from the tip of Borneo published by Universe Inc, New York, 2004. The upcoming is The Lost People of Borneo - published by the same publisher,2006.
