Dennis Chua: Malaysia The Chinese Majority Country?
Chua from chuascorner.blogspot.com siri 5
It was not a Singaporean who told me this but a Malaysian. Selat is usually called Bugis. It is the mainland equivalent of the Bajau, mixed with Bidayuh. Indian includes all Aryans of Asia and Dravidians of Asia.
-------------------------------------------
Hose & McDougall (1912) said in their Book titled "The Pagan Tribes of Borneo", "... the Kadayans, a quiet agricultural folk,skilled in various arts, but rendered timid by continual oppression."
And Kadayan do not write or blog a lot. But timid? no, they aren't actually. Humble and down to earth is a more proper word to describe us.
How about continual oppression? Yes, its true in the past. It was a reality for Kadayan that once called the "Orang Bukit". Most western observers in 19th century noticed this and they record it in their writings.
And even now. Chua uses us to undermine Malay in Malaysia by saying that Kadayan is just another Indonesian Immigrants.

Malaysia The Chinese Majority Country?
By Dennis Chua
It was not a Singaporean who told me this but a Malaysian.
Here’s how:
In 100 Malaysians are:
27 Chinese;
24 Temuans;
11 Kanaks (or Bataks);
10 Indians;
7 Chams (or Senois, or Mons);
4 Semelais (or Jakuns);
3 Orang Seletar;
3 Orang Selat;
3 Kadazan-Dusuns;
3 Kedayans;
2 Ibans;
1 Melanau;
1 Bajau;
1 Bidayuh.
This is how we normally state our population:
In 100 Malaysians are:
53 West Malaysian Natives [24 Temuans; 11 Kanaks (or Bataks); 7 Chams; 4 Semelais; 3 Orang Seletar; 3 Orang Selat; 1 Kedayan]
27 Chinese;
10 East Malaysian Natives [3 Kadazan-Dusuns; 2 Kedayans; 2 Ibans; 1 Melanau; 1 Bajau; 1 Bidayuh]
10 Indians.
Note:
West Malaysian Native is usually called Malay.
Temuan is usually called Johorean.
Kanak is usually called Kedahan. It is the mainland equivalent of the Iban.
Cham is usually called Kelantanese. It is the mainland equivalent of the Bidayuh.
Semelai is usually called Minangkabau or Negeri Sembilanese.
Seletar is usually called Javanese. Seletar is the mainland equivalent of the Melanau.
Selat is usually called Bugis. It is the mainland equivalent of the Bajau, mixed with Bidayuh.
Indian includes all Aryans of Asia and Dravidians of Asia. Technically, it would also include East Europeans, Russians, Iranians, Turks, Mongolians, Koreans and Japanese.
