KUCHING: Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud might announce the date of the dissolution of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) today.
“Wait one more day,” he said when asked by journalists how soon the DUN would be dissolved as he hurriedly left the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) after opening the Youth Assembly 2011 yesterday. On speculations that he would perform his Umrah after his announcement on the dissolution, Taib said: “No, I don’t go for Umrah.” Taib did not indicate when the DUN would be dissolved but some political pundits believe it could be next Monday and not today (Borneo Post).
