KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 — The gloves finally came off today and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi appears ready to use his vast powers of incumbency after years of inertia and being mocked as incapable by all and sundry.

The straw that broke the camel's back was Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) president Datuk Yong Teck Lee's brazen move to initiate a no-confidence motion against the beleaguered prime minister. A day later, a court witness in Kota Kinabalu claimed Yong had paid RM5 million from proceeds of a state-owned company shares sale to selected agents.

On Friday, the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) swung into action and announced it will question Yong over the allegations. This is swift retribution coming from Abdullah, who has long smiled and shrugged off attacks and insults from those who feel he is unfit to helm the country.

But Yong's unprecedented move was the tipping point for Abdullah after many weeks of attacks and calls to step down from his Umno presidency and as prime minister for the poor election results from sections of his Umno party and trenchant critic Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Malaysia Insider

So for now, Pak Lah may still sleepy but he can't sleep; as at the moment he is having the worst nightmare. He is closest to the end of his power struggle, honestly.

The real Monkey King is the BN Persident. He keeps a lot of these naughty monkeys in BN (eg YTL, MA). He monitors and keep records of each. If one gets naughty, he give him a little sweet (senatorship). If he gets out of had he opens these books and pull of his pants, exposing his little johnny to embarass him. Tsk! tsk!
