Nothing extraordinary about sodomy in the statement. But there is one. That is on what Syed Hamid said about the police and the authority.
Police should speed up investigation, he urged.
Authority should solve the case faster, he said.
And he said that on his capacity as Home Minister!
As Home Minister, he is actually the minister-in-charge of police. He is also the head of authority agent of the internal affairs in Malaysia, including to look after sodomy matters.
So, Syed Hamid was just pretending. There wasn't necessary for him to merely urged them to work faster in newspaper. He CAN speed up the case as of where and when he wants; he is the Home Minister of Malaysia.
